IBB's (Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida) former spokesperson from his time as Military Head of State, Duro Onabule, has passed away.
In Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, Onabule passed away on Tuesday, August 16, at the age of 83.
Onabule began his career as a journalist for the Daily Express in 1961, and three years later joined the Daily Sketch. He attended CMS Grammar School in Lagos before entering the London School of Journalism.
Onabule returned to Daily Express after a brief stay at Daily Sketch. He also worked for the Daily Times in the 1970s. When Concord Press was launched in 1984, Onabule was named features editor and worked his way up to become the newspaper's editor.
