Ismaila Olaniyan Olawale, a Nigerian, died on Saturday after falling overboard in the Hudson River in New Jersey, close to the marina in Englewood Cliffs.

Lt. Raymond Walter of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department said witnesses witnessed the man, whom he described as being from Nigeria, fall into the ocean while numerous individuals tried to save him, but their attempts were useless.
Divers from the New York City Police Department's harbor patrol discovered the man's body approximately an hour later, but the Bergen County medical examiner ruled him dead.
